Hello Everyone, I hope everyone is well (and playing volleyball). PowerZone begins its second decade of Volleyball this coming October and it is tremendously fulfilling to see more and more people play the game. In the 12 plus years I have been involved in volleyball I have met so many wonderful people, from the players I've coached to the people I have met and played next to and against. And I want to thank you for all your support of PowerZone Volleyball through the years. I realize you have a choice of where to play and who to purchase equipment from so we genuinely appreciate your business.
Today, I am writing to ask for your support in raising funds to help in Parkinson's disease research. Help PowerZone Block Out Parkinson's Disease. Ten years ago my Mom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and two years ago (June 04) became very sick with it's complications. She is now back home and being cared for there. (Thanks to everyone who has been asking). And because there is no cure for Parkinson’s there is not a lot I can do but to be there for her. However I want to do something to further the continued research to find better treatments and a cure for Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson's will be PowerZone's official charity and our campaign will be to schedule other fundraising activities each year. Profits and Donations from our campaign will go to one of the following organizations: The Michael J. Fox Foundation, American Parkinson Disease Association, National Parkinson Foundation.
It has been a very busy few years for PowerZone and myself personally so I haven't seen everyone as much as I would normally. Hope to see you this weekend please stop by and say hello. Please forward this to anyone who you think might be interested.
