Camps, Clinics & Lessons

PowerZone is excited to offer a new coaching group who will be providing private lessons. Many of the current staff coaches will be joining the group as well as some new coaches. Lessons range from $95-$125 per hour. Additional students are $10-$15.

Private lessons are great for fine tuning a skill, correcting a skill or learning a new skill in a one on one environment. Camps and clinics are recommended for getting a good foundation in playing volleyball then taking some lessons to get extra help. Camps are generally an instructional environment and its difficult to get "correction" to all the players in camp. A good experienced coach will be able to identify a flaw in technique and then more importantly how to fix it. Fixing the flaw might be as simple as technique but in many cases the fix might involve finding the right "coaching" approach to get the player to fix the flaw.

Some coaches will offer an introduction Lesson package our "six pack" that covers all the individual skills. Lesson 1: Passing & Hitting, Lesson 2: Review & Setting, Lesson 3: Review & Serving, Lesson 4: Review & Defense,Lesson 5: Review & Blocking,Lesson 6: Review & Diving. The 6th lesson in our six pack is free.
